Blending seamlessly into the lush, tree-filled landscape, Ila Safari Lodge is home to 10 state-of-the-art luxury tents and a striking dome-shaped boma, thoughtfully designed to offer sweeping beautiful views of the Kafue River and the vast landscape of one of Africa’s largest national parks.

Set gently along the riverbank, nestled between elegant Ilala palms, towering mopane, and Musikili trees, each luxury tent is individually designed to melt into its natural surroundings. Raised on locally sourced wooden walkways, the tents feel both elevated and deeply connected to the land.

Every tent boasts dreamy panoramic views over the Kafue River and the national park beyond. From your private deck, watch golden sunsets spill across the water or witness herds of buffalo casually crossing the opposite bank in their hundreds for an evening drink, nature’s own quiet spectacle.

Eight luxury couples’ tents feature king or twin beds and indulgent indoor bathrooms. Six of these also offer indoor and outdoor showers, while two include indoor showers and beautiful outdoor bathtubs, perfect for soaking at sunset with the gentle soundtrack of a resident hippo pod below your deck.

The remaining two luxury tents are ideal for families, each offering two bedrooms separated by curtains, along with an indoor bath and shower, space to unwind together while still feeling immersed in the wild.

Days unfold slowly at the dome-shaped boma, where guests can relax, soak up the Zambian sun beside the infinity pool, lose themselves in a good book, or gather by the fireside as the sun dips below the horizon, reminiscing over days filled with wild adventures.

Conservation runs quietly through everything we do. Guests are invited to explore Kafue on silent electric game drives powered by the sun, guided walking safaris, electric boat cruises, community and farm visits, or peaceful fishing excursions, experiences designed to leave only footprints and lasting memories.
