BILIMUNGWE BUSHCAMP

About this tour

Bilimungwe Bushcamp is set beneath a canopy of mahogany trees in South Luangwa National Park. The heart of the camp is the central lounge and dining area, built around a massive mahogany tree and decorated with locally crafted wooden bowls, basins, and shelves.

The camp has four thatched chalets, each overlooking one of Bilimungwe’s three waterholes. Wildlife is always nearby, and many guests enjoy relaxing on their private verandas, watching animals come and go.

A star deck overlooks the Bilimungwe plain, offering a perfect spot to take in the wide South Luangwa skies. Mornings start with breakfast in the boma on the banks of the Luangwa River, where guests can enjoy sunrise views across the water while enjoying their cup of tea or coffee.

Guests can explore the area on morning walking safaris or game drives, with an afternoon/evening game drive offered daily. Experienced guides lead each activity, sharing their knowledge of the park’s wildlife and ecosystems.

Bilimungwe’s intimate setting, abundant wildlife, and excellent guiding make it a favorite for those wanting an authentic bush experience.
